Hi, it's Tasha's sister, Jarnli, and I'm the guest hostess of 2fer Tuesday this week because Tasha is out there on the road like Willie Nelson or Jack Kerouac, vacationing her little heart out with her girl, Merry. I hope they are having a blast because sometimes I just think Tasha deserves to have the best things in life. On Saturday, I got to take Tasha floating on the Salt River with my son, Alex. The three of us are very close and we do a lot of things together and I have to say, I really like it that way. So, in honor of our first Salt River trip, here are two beautiful songs that make me feel like rivers are God's gifts. Well.....here ya go:
River Flows in You - Yoruma
Lay 'em Down - Needtobreathe
http://youtu.be/3PN-BMHi5L8
I know, it's just a plain old link, but this is the version I want to share. :)
Come down to the river
Come and let yourself in
Make good on a promise
To never hurt again
If you're lost and lonely
If you're broken down
Bring all of your troubles come lay 'em down
All you sinners
And the weak at heart
All you helpless
On the boulevards
Wherever you are now
Whatever evil you've found
Bring all of your troubles
And come lay 'em down
We're all tied to the same old failings
Finding shelter in things we know
We're all dirty like corrupted small towns
We'll bring our troubles
We'll bring our troubles lay 'em down
All you rich men
And the high above
All those with and without love
All you burdened broken down
Bring all of your troubles
Come lay 'em down
Okay, maybe it wasn't that much about the river, but is that band cute or what? :)
Thanks for havin me. Mwah!
Let me rock your socks off every Tuesday with two songs that relate to each other in whatever way I see fit.
