Tonight I took my kids out to some friends' house way way way out of town where the stars were super bright and they had a guy there with giant telescopes showing us some really awesome parts of our galaxy. We saw Saturn, with its rings and moons, we saw the moon really close up - craters and what-not - and we looked at Betelgeuse and the Orion Nebuli. It was superdy duper cool. The kids had lots of fun running around in the dark with all of their home schooling friends. It reminded me of this poem I wrote many years ago. I love little kids more and more all the time. They amaze me with how smart they are, how insightful and compassionate. How excited they are about the new things they learn. I'm blessed by all the boys and girls I know.
Let me rock your socks off every Tuesday with two songs that relate to each other in whatever way I see fit.
